2 | PATTERN CHANGE |

| LOCK |

|
| STEP GRID |
| | This specifies the timing at which playback will switch to the next pattern. On the KORG iMS-20, the step length is independent for each of the synth and drum parts. This means that you must specify the timing at which playback will switch to the next pattern. When the sequence plays, playback will switch to the next pattern when the step you specify here is reached.

|
MIXER CONTROL
When switching patterns in realtime while you perform, you can creatively develop your song by muting and un-muting the synth or drum sounds during the performance. It is particularly effective to do this while switching patterns.
