EXi XPansion Sounds now available

Korg is pleased to announce the availability of the new EXi XPansion Sounds for the OASYS, with 128 new EXi Programs and 96 new Combinations. The Programs include classic analog bass, lead, pad, and synth sounds from the AL-1; modeled electric pianos, innovative plucked timbres, and ethereal pads from the STR-1; new expertly-created organ voicings for the CX-3; and more.
The Combinations use these new Programs in conjunction with the factory preload sounds to create evocative layers, useful splits, driving rhythms, and lush, evolving soundscapes.
The EXi XPansion Sounds are free for all registered OASYS users, and are available from the OASYS Download page.
OASYS software 1.3.3a now available

Korg has released a minor update for the OASYS 1.3.3 installer. This new version, 1.3.3a, includes the MOD-7 and LAC-1 sounds inadvertently omitted from the 1.3.3 installer.
The OASYS software included in the new installer is exactly the same as 1.3.3. The only difference is in the sounds which are installed.
If you haven't yet updated to 1.3.3, we recommend that you download and install 1.3.3a! There are cool new features, such as KARMA 2.2, along with a few bug-fixes.
If you previously upgraded directly to 1.3.3 without first installing 1.3 or 1.3.1, then we recommend that you install 1.3.3a in order to get the new sounds.
If you previously installed 1.3 or 1.3.1, and later upgraded to 1.3.3, then you do not need to install 1.3.3a.
The 1.3.3a update is free for all registered OASYS users, and is available from the OASYS Download page.
HD-1 XPansion Sounds - Vol. 2

This new set of 256 HD-1 Programs is the complement to HD-1 XPansion Sounds - Vol. 1. It features:
- lush, expressive orchestral ensembles with combinations of brass, woodwinds, and strings
- new acoustic guitars, and electric & acoustic basses
- electric guitars with vintage amp models and tailored effects
- over a hundred classic synth sounds, including basses, pads, leads, stabs, and more

HD-1 XPansion Sounds - Vol. 1

This set of 256 new HD-1 Programs includes nuanced pianos for specific applications (brighter sounds for cutting through on stage, upright piano sounds inspired by classic British rock, 80s synth and stage pianos, etc.); vintage electric pianos, reed pianos and clavinets; jazz, rock, and church organs; acoustic strings and vintage string keyboards; brass and woodwinds; vocals; bells; and more.

Korg is pleased to announce the release of over 780 new Effect Presets for the OASYS. These professionally-created presets explore the powerful capabilities of the OASYS effects, and they're ready to use with any of the OASYS internal sounds, audio tracks, or live audio inputs. Naturally, you can also use them as starting points for your own creations.
The new presets are free for all registered OASYS users, and are available from the Download page.

EXs3 Brass and Woodwinds now shipping!

Korg is pleased to announce the release of a new sample library for the OASYS: EXs3 Brass & Woodwinds. This large Expansion sample library (over 700 Mbytes!) features a wide variety of natural-sounding brass and woodwind instruments, recorded using world-class instruments and players - perfect for orchestral and pop productions.
All registered OASYS users will receive the EXs3 installer on CDs, courtesy of their national Korg distributor. The full installer may also be downloaded here. Both the CDs and the download install a demo version of EXs3, which is fully functional except for a periodic fading in and out. Purchasing an authorization code removes this restriction.

OASYS version 1.3 now available!

Korg is pleased to announce the release of system version 1.3 for Korg's flagship OASYS synthesizer, delivering a further evolution of the sound-creating and performance potential of this acclaimed instrument. In addition to various new features and enhancements, version 1.3 includes the new KARMA 2.1, and makes available two more optional expansions: the MOD-7 Waveshaping VPM Synthesizer (available now), and the EXs3 Brass & Woodwinds expansion sample library (coming soon!).
Main features
- The new EXi MOD-7 Waveshaping VPM synthesizer takes a classic form of synthesis into new and uncharted territories, combining Variable Phase Modulation (VPM), waveshaping, ring modulation, PCM sample playback, and subtractive synthesis in a patchable, semi-modular synthesizer. A demo version is included in OASYS system version 1.3.
- KARMA 2.1 adds support for User GEs, selectable quantization for scene changes and module triggering, improved note mapping, and many other new functions .
- The optional new EXs3 Brass & Woodwinds Expansion Sample Library, available separately, provides over 700 Mbytes of expressive, natural-sounding brass and woodwind instruments.
- EXs expansion sample sets can now be loaded and unloaded immediately, without restarting the OASYS.
- User Sampling RAM capacity has been expanded when using the EXs1 and EXs2 PCM data, thanks to a new lossless compression technique.
- Other improvements and enhancements.
